SPYDER SNOWFEST

The first annual Spyder Snowfest in Hermosa Beach was a hit!  50,000 tons of snow was brought in to create Mt. Hermosa which included jumps and rails just steps from the sand and ocean.

PHOTO CONTEST

Bo Bridges held a photo contest for all the photographers out there shooting Spyder Snowfest.  We had over 100 entries.  The contest judges were Dennis Jarvis and Richard O’Rilly of Spyder, Jani Lang of Electirc, Ricky Milnik of DVS, and Bo Bridges.  Prizes included a Mark Frank Montoya Snowboard, Mammoth Mountain lift passes, DVS shoes, Matix Denim, and Electric goggles. Jason Speth won first place with his shot of Timmy Fletcher, Amanda Reye’s 2nd with her lifestyle image of “Seabass” and Peter Mustich won 3rd place with his landscape photo of the sunset over the snow and water.

STUDIO WORKSHOP

Hermosa Beach, CA

Bo Bridges held another exciting photography workshop.  This time it was geared towards the snow and winter activities.  Bo discussed how he shoots deep in the mountains and the lifestyle’s that surround the cold environments.  After the class students were able to walk out of the studio and get exclusive access to the Spyder Snowfest to test some of their new skills.  If you are interested in learning more about how your camera works or signing up for one of Bo’s workshops please call the studio at 310.937.3764 or email info@spitstudio.com

DANE ZAUN HELI

Bo has been working closely with a remote control helicopter to capture some unique perspectives.  So much potential with this contraption.  It has a built in stabilizer and allows us to mount our Canon 5d and 7d cameras so we can shoot both stills and video.  Incredible.  Check out the video above by clicking on the play button or youtube under bobridgesphoto.

With a world record snowfall over 16 feet in just three days Ricky Milnik of DVS and Von Zipper scooped up Bo with a 30 minute advance notice and headed to Mammoth to shoot with Ejack and Daniel Ek in some of the deepest snow ever recorded.   See more images on bobridges.com

Hiking up and floating down the powder sugar Bo had his camera out and snapped off a few between waist/chest deep turns.
